Scientific Visualization is a field of all NASA science where powerful computer graphics are used to visually represent data and data syntheses to better allow the interpretation of trends that might not otherwise be apparent.  Students with a strong background in computer science and a desire to work with a high-end graphics system are needed for this part of the project. They will work with a passive stereo 3-D visualization system and render graphics to bring Earth System Science topics to life!  A knowledge of GIS will be helpful. There will also be opportunity within this group (depending on personnel) to potentially build a virtual world in Second Life. This group will work with Dr. Chaudhury.
